Why remove the film from honey agarics?
Reading time - 1 min.

The film from under the honey agaric cap is removed for 2 reasons: first - the film is not aesthetic in itself and after cooking turns into a slimy mass; the second reason is that there may be dirt, forest debris and insects under the film. Both reasons do not oblige you to cleanse all mushrooms one by one, without exception. It is worth checking several specimens at random - and if the mushrooms are clean and not infected with insects, it is not necessary to peel off the film. In addition, when honey mushrooms are soaked in salted water, the film often gets soaked, separated from the cap and washed off with water when draining. Alternatively, you can cook mushrooms, simply draining the first water.
The only case when it is really necessary to peel the film is young large mushrooms, if they infected with bugs.
